Who we are
The history of ELMAS: innovation and quality since 1943
Applied research, constant drive for innovation and a company system oriented towards excellence : these are the values that have always guided ELMAS in achieving the highest quality standards for its products.
The entrepreneurial history of ELMAS has been firmly embedded in the panorama of the most dynamic Italian industry since 1943 , the year in which Giacomo Masserini founded his first workshop in Gazzaniga , in the heart of the Lombard textile hub, in the Seriana Valley. In a complex historical period for the economy and the markets, the founder managed to lay the foundations of a solid and progress-oriented corporate identity. A vision confirmed by the patent for the loom brake , which immediately made the name Masserini famous.
Over the years, this vocation for innovation has accompanied the company through a continuous path of growth and transformation . An evolution accelerated in 1968, when Elmo Masserini , at only twenty-six years old, took over the leadership of the company following the premature death of his father.
Thanks to the birth of important companies in the textile technology sector in the Seriana Valley, ELMAS has rapidly become a point of reference for the largest players in the market, consolidating its role as a trusted supplier .

Growth and international development
In order to remain at the forefront and competitive, ELMAS has invested over time in its own foundry for beam flanges, in integrated chrome plating lines, as well as in human resources, machinery and technology. The desire to optimize delivery times and further improve customer service led, in 2004 , to the opening of a production plant in Romania .
Today the plants in Italy extend over 5000 m2 covered , with large outdoor areas, and are organized to guarantee efficient and flexible productivity, capable of responding to the needs of all markets. ELMAS has established itself as a specialist in the production of customized rollers and cylinders based on customer design, intended for a wide range of application sectors.
The third generation: new milestones
Today, with Giacomo Masserini at the helm of the third family generation , ELMAS continues its growth path, aiming for a future of further innovation and consolidation on the market. The recent reacquisition of the company Riporti Industriali Srl is part of this direction, a strategic step to strengthen the company's competitiveness and offer customers an even more efficient and complete service.
Strengthening the link between tradition and innovation, ELMAS continues to look forward, with the aim of anticipating market challenges and maintaining its position of excellence in the sector .
